Spirits are high as the Bonners Ferry varsity baseball team enters the final stretch of their 2014 season. The combination of solid fielding, powerful hitting, and great team chemistry has granted the Badgers a well-deserved two seed in the IML District Tournament. The season has been full of unpleasant surprises ranging from constant rain delays to a busted knee from senior starter Mat Kramer. But the ever-adapting Badgers have taken the negativity with a grain of salt and turned it into league wins, senior leadership, unlimited underclassmen potential, advanced skill sets, and fun for the whole team. Freshman Jesse Dunham and sophomore Vince Bennett will be taking the mound at the district tournament with the hope that they will lead the Badgers to success and the state tournament.
Go Badgers!
