If you live in Gig Harbor, chances are you have seen Julie! As our Marketing Specialist, she is busy meeting with businesses and organizations in the community. She has been with our company since November 2013 and has been the key behind Gig Harbor Living Local’s rapid growth and success. Prior to joining our team, Julie worked for eleven years in marketing where she helped businesses grow and succeed.

 

Julie is no stranger to Gig Harbor. She has lived here for over 20 years, and she and her husband have raised their two sons in the Gig Harbor community. She loves being around people, a result of growing up in a big family. “I have four brothers, two sons and nine nephews,” said Julie. “It makes for great pick up football games at family gatherings!”

 

Julie is a very involved parent, volunteering for her sons’ cross-country team as the treasurer and helping with the fundraisers. “My favorite time of year is cross-country season so I can watch my sons Chase and Hunter run,” said Julie.

 

An outdoor enthusiast, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, participating in yoga, swimming and her new favorite sport – stand up paddle boarding. And it’s not just her sons who are seasoned athletes. Julie has competed in over five triathlons individually and has won two triathlons with a relay team where she participated in the swim portion. “My lungs seem to work better in the water than on land,” said Julie.

 

Since joining Gig Harbor Living Local, Julie has worked closely with community business owners, something she thoroughly enjoys. “I enjoy the people I work with as well as the community business owners who I meet while working for Gig Harbor Living Local.”
