PATTY HUTCHENS
ABOUT PATTY
Patty Hutchens joined Living Local 360 in October 2012 after working closely with owner Steve Russo as they volunteered their time writing stories for and producing the Sandpoint High School football program – something they continue to do each year.
Patty practiced law for several years prior to moving to Sandpoint with her husband Jim, a CPA, in late 1998. At that time Patty desired to stay home with her two young children but wanted something she could do part time. She worked as a freelance writer for the Spokesman Review for 10 years writing feature stories, a regular column on Sandpoint and another column featuring the accomplishments of children throughout North Idaho. Originally from Minneapolis, Patty said it was initially difficult to adjust to living in a small town but now loves the sense of community she has discovered since moving to Sandpoint.
In her work with Living Local 360, Patty writes many of the stories you see in our publications and is the Managing Editor for all of our publications. She believes every person has a story to tell and said she considers it a privilege to be able to bring those stories to life, knowing that one person's story may change another person's life. She has two boys, Kevin, who attends University of Idaho and is majoring in Business and Marketing Education, and Brett, a student at Sandpoint High School.
Always looking for the next great story to share, she invites people to email her with their ideas.
