Yoder’s Market Opens at New Location. By Brandon Newsom and Desi Minor.

Wednesday, January 15, Yoder’s Grocery held the grand opening of their new store in the former Boundary Electric building. They made cookies and other goodies to show their appreciation to all the people who have helped them through this process.

Bonners Ferry Living student staff members sat down and talked with Henry Yoder about his new accomplishment and how he got to where he is today.

Yoder was honored that Bonners Ferry Living gave him this opportunity to share his successes. He enjoys working with young people.

BFLL: So why did you open up the store in the first place?

Henry: I understand that there are some struggling people out there and I want to help them. We knew that people were struggling financially. When people come into our store I want them to feel welcome. I enjoy mingling with all our customers, and we made this store for not just people who need the help but for everyone. Our vision is bigger than the original store was.

BFLL: How is moving in coming along?

Henry: It’s going great! When people heard we were going to be moving stores we had a lot of volunteers that wanted to help move us in. We planned for our store to be closed for five days. But with all the help from the community, we were closed for only two days. We have a lot of support locally, people are really putting their hearts into this, and that’s what keeps us going.

BFLL: Is there anything you would like to add?

Henry: We just want thank everybody for all their support, because it’s really about the people and not about the store.

BFLL: We wish you all the best on the grand opening.

The student staff of Bonners Ferry Living appreciate all the time Henry took to sit down and talk with them.
