Many of us deal with this age old question each morning: “What will I wear today?” But, never fear: Fall Fashion Week has some trendy solutions for the fashionista in all of us. This year, fashions from NYC, London, and France make getting dressed an exciting proposition.

This fall, go for the tried and true classics and keep it simple since less is more. Then, add a twist to your wardrobe by picking a piece that suits you. Always remember that it is not about trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, so dress for your body type. Take what applies to your style since you do not need to adopt all the new trends in one season to look stunning.

London is alive with the vibe of the swag sixties. If you are going for the look of London, fall’s fashion trends feature faux fur in vibrant colors, military jackets with gold accoutrements in shades of navy and green, and tapered-leg jeans paired with ankle boots. Don’t forget pieces from the revival of iconic sixties styles such as black and white plaid tops and wraps.
Sneaker Chic
New York City always hosts a multitude of new trends which adds to the excitement of fall with work-ready styles. Over the shoulder sophisticated city bags, animal print tops, and high fashion sneakers are on trend in this happening, fast-paced city. These ladies are sneaker freaks since life in NYC travels at the speed of light. Whether they are on the way to the market or a lunch date, six inch heels are out since they no longer suit the lives of these go-getter girls.
Je Ne Sais Quoi
Parisian women, as always, are the queens of cool, unfettered style. They are masters of being put together without looking as if they tried. How do they do it? “They mix grays with pops of energetic colors”, says new Gig Harbor store owner Michelle Phillips of La Vie Parfaite. According to Vogue and Elle, plaid is the print to be seen, along with heavy knits and layers. In Paris, Navy is also a strong color choice that complements the sneaker street style.
Ladies, remember to have fun with fashion, if you are confident with your choices no one will question the statement you are making. Most if all, do what is best for your body type and own it! Whether you want to emulate the looks of NYC, London, or Paris, wear the trends that work for you.
