Save A Life; Equip A Hero Auction & Gala to make our community safe from cardiac arrest. By Sarah Polyakov.

It’s time to take heart health seriously, no matter what your age. Cardiac arrest can occur when we least expect it and the key is education, preparedness, and solutions.

Save A Life; Equip A Hero Auction & Gala has a fundraising goal of $200,000. They plan to donate all proceeds to schools so that both our schools and our community will be safer from sudden cardiac arrest. Through educational initiatives and emergency response planning, everyone will benefit from this initiative.

The long-term plan is to ensure that CPR training is given and that automated external defibrillators (AEDs) get placed in every public school and community field in the Edmonds School District.

The Heart of Edmonds School District & Community Heart Safe Project, under the Nick of Time Foundation, is sponsoring this unique event. Their goal is to to give the community a chance to create Heart Safe Zones and over 20,000 students will benefit from this effort.

All donations made, whether at the gala or through the sponsor website, are tax free under the Nick of Time Foundation. Tickets can be purchased for the Gala in advance at www.heartofedmondssd.org.
