Enjoy A Taste of the Taste
The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce is having a benefit concert on January 31. It will be held and sponsored by the Edmonds Center for the Arts from 6 to 9:00pm. This benefit is a one night only concert that will host six different bands and will be emceed by Jeff “The Fish” Aaron, who is now on Fox Sports Radio and one of the most popular local hosts.
A Taste of the Taste’s lineup will included some of the area’s most talented local bands – Spike and the Impalers, Heart by Heart, The Beatniks, No Rules, The Michelle Taylor Band and The Joe Slick Band. Although, take note, that this lineup is subject to change from now until January.
This concert will go towards benefiting the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce and The Taste of Edmonds, hence the name, “A Taste of The Taste.” Due to some poor weather on the first day of A Taste of Edmonds, the chamber had to close the event early for the safety of the vendors, entertainers, volunteers and guests. Although the last two days went off without a hitch, the loss of revenue on the first day of the event severely damaged the annual operations budget for the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce.
“Revenue from the benefit concert will allow us to continue to operate until the 2016 event revenue begins to get collected,” said CEO and President of the Chamber, Greg Urban.
With that being said, the bands that had to be canceled on that Friday have come together in support of the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce and are performing a benefit concert to help regain some of the losses that the chamber faced. They also just want to put on a great show, have a fun night and play for one of their favorite communities – the people of Edmonds.
The chamber is asking all community members to rally their support, come out to this fun night and help them overcome these financial losses. It promises to be a great time.
The doors will open at 5pm and tickets can be purchased at the door, if availability permits. You can also purchase tickets in advance, online at www.edmondscenterforthearts.org. Tickets in advance are $30 or $40 at the door.
