Family-Friendly Kite Festival is April 25

Remember that awesome feeling of flying a kite? Waiting for the wind, smiling as your kite lifted into the air and then playing with the string to keep it as high as you could? You’re invited to relive that feeling and fly kites with your family and friends at the Hayden Kite Festival at 12pm, Saturday, April 25 at Broadmoore Park in Hayden.

It’s guaranteed fun for all ages. The event is free, but if you want to be eligible for fun prizes you should register between 12 and 1:30pm at the registration table in the park. Awards will be presented at 2:15 for High Flyer, Best Homemade, Best of Show and more! Kites will be available for purchase at the event.

To get there take Atlas Road north of Honeysuckle Avenue and turn east on Broadmoore Drive. What a great, fun event for the entire family! The festival is sponsored by the City of Hayden, the Hayden Chamber of Commerce, STCU and AHA Creative.

It’s rewarding to see our members doing business with each other. That’s exactly what a Chamber should be, and we’re continually impressed by how much our members support each other and enjoy getting to know each other at our events.

Annual Awards Banquet Tickets

The Hayden Chamber Annual Awards Banquet will celebrate another year of Chamber fun and recognize the accomplishments and contributions of area citizens and businesses for their work in the H.A.Y.D.E.N. Award categories. Awards will be presented for Human Rights, Aerospace, Youth, Distinguished Citizen, Education and New or Noteworthy Business. The event kicks off at 5:30pm, April 18 at the Resort Aviation Hangar with a no-host bar staffed by Daanen’s Deli. Dinner will be provided by Chomper Café, followed by a short awards ceremony, a silent and live auction and then dancing to The Rhythm Dawgs, one of the best dance bands in the region. Chamber membership information

Annual membership prices begin at $100 for individuals and nonprofits. Other membership levels include additional amenities starting with Bronze at $240 a year; Silver at $360; Gold at $575; Platinum at $1,125; and Legacy at $2,000. Members can join at any time. Networking Breakfasts are fourth Thursdays

The Chamber’s monthly networking breakfasts are held from 7:30-8:30am on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Salvation Army Kroc Center. Trade tables, new member announcements and great programs have combined to help create record-setting attendance.
