Coeur d'Alene Events Hot Tips for Climate Change

This month’s program will address the hot topic of climate change and the many ways that farmers and gardeners alike can do things to alleviate the impact of unpredictable weather patterns that seem to be the new normal. Our speaker will introduce the concept of “holistic management” and the benefits that it offers in curbing the impact of our carbon footprint and regenerating the land.

Special guest presenter Maurice Robinette is a third generation rancher from southwest Spokane county. He has practiced holistic management on his ranch (Lazy R Beef) for 20 years. He serves on the advisory board for the Center for Sustaining Agriculture and Natural Resources, is a founding director of the Pacific Northwest Center for Holistic Management (first Savory Hub in the U.S.) and is a Certified Educator of Holistic Management.

Pre-registration Required $8/members; $10/non-members Admission includes a light supper.

April 12 (5:30 - 7:30 pm) Univ. of Idaho Extension Building 1808 N 3rd St (CdA)
