Ditch the Diet Craze

Wouldn’t it be great if you could simply snap your fingers and your jeans would suddenly fit a little looser? Yeah right. Feel free to shake your head and roll your eyes.
Some diet marketing companies would have you believing that you could simply take a magic pill or drink a slimy green concoction and miraculously, you would be fifteen pounds lighter when the sun comes up the next day. Ah my friends, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
It takes time and effort right? We all have that friend who tried a silly low-carb, no carb, fat-free, cabbage all day, banana diet, right? They are all geared up mentally to actually do it this time. This is the time, and there is no going back to the way things were. They are going to lose the weight no matter what they have to do. With fist in the air they declare, “I’m doing this.” What happens next? Irritability sets in, they are super crabby and could eat a horse because they are so hungry. They yell at their co-workers for no reason, they walk around in a fog, their skin begins to look as dull as their sense of humor and guess what? They have been doing this ridiculous new thing for three days and realize that it isn’t a sustainable plan. While they began their new adventure towards a healthier physique initially, they soon are complaining that their weight hasn’t fluctuated at all, and now they are mad and going back to their old habits. The new silly diet thing is finished.
Geez. Wouldn’t it be easier and more sustainable if we made simple lifestyle shifts that were actually driven by results and not hype? Something that real people could do that didn’t cost a fortune and drive us all crazy?
What if I told you that it wouldn’t cost you a dime to work out and change your physique? You don’t need to do some bogus new plan that doesn’t make any sense. You don’t need a fancy gym membership, or the latest and greatest tennis shoes or leggings that cost a small fortune. Did you know that you can burn the same amount of calories in high tech gear as you can in a pair of leggings from your local thrift store? It’s true. I’ve coached hundreds of clients over the past eleven years, and what they wore was not the determining factor when it came to their overall success.
When you are ready to change your health and wellness, embrace a new lifestyle that works for you and your family and not the latest diet craze.
